Dr. Kore grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, after immigrating from Somalia. From an early age she understood that without health, everything else in life becomes fragile. That understanding drew her toward medicine, so she could make a meaningful difference in people's lives, both in keeping them well and in caring for them when they weren't.
She attended Princeton University for her undergraduate studies, earned her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital. She went on to hold faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University, and Emory University.
After years in academic medicine and clinical practice, she saw firsthand what happens when fragmented care and administrative complexity crowd out the patient-physician relationship – and the toll it takes on patients and their health. She built Cimri Medical to return to how medicine was always meant to be: a practice grounded in time, transparency, and trust.
Dr. Kore lives in South Jersey with her husband and their two young children. When she's not seeing patients or chasing after her kids, you'll find her exploring trails, attempting new recipes, and collecting passport stamps.
Dr. Kore provides comprehensive care across the full breadth of Internal Medicine including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and cardiometabolic conditions; thyroid and adrenal disorders; liver and gastrointestinal disease; respiratory conditions including asthma and COPD; cognitive and memory concerns; musculoskeletal and joint conditions; dermatological conditions; anxiety and depression; men's and women's health; and advanced preventive care across all stages of adult life.
